I need to update my response to this program now that I've used the 2.x and 2.2 versions for the last year or so. The developers kit includes sample code, the necessary libraries to package and sign your extension, and an ANT build file for compiling, packaging, and signing your extension. You can adjust the date range, selecting from a number of predetermined options, including year or month-to-date and quarters. You can also choose custom dates for any period of time. If you wish to save any report you run, you can print a hard copy or save a digital version. Graphs can be saved as a PNG, and data reports can be saved as an HTML or CSV, which can then be used in other programs, such as Excel. That said, the exporting options are fewer than are available at most other services, and you cannot export reports to a tax program. Should Moneydance not offer a report that you need, experienced programmers can use its scripting support service to help hand write a script in Python that will allow you to analyze your own data and create a custom report based on your needs. Overall Moneydance is an extremely easy to use desktop budgeting app for Mac and PC. The portfolio overview displays the value of your portfolio, the percent change and cost basis, while the register tracks your trades, including the security, date, stock price, fees and balance. I empathize with you, as I was just as frustrated with Intuit a month ago with their 3-year online support policy. My Quicken 2009 was no longer going to be supported and I really didn't like it anyway so did a thorough search for a good alternative. Moneydance Finance is more expensive but offers some extra features. I am using Banktivity as well for several years and after they introduced recently the subscription plans I started exploring other alternatives: MoneyWiz and SeeFinance. I FOUND THE PERFECT ALTERNATIVE IN MONEYDANCE. Quicken Home & Business pricing, Quicken Home & Business alternatives. It supports online banking and bill payment, investment management, budget tracking, scheduled transactions, check printing. It got great reviews everywhere I looked. It can run on almost any operating system and uses the same data file on all platforms! My Quicken Home & Business data (several years worth) imported SEAMLESSLY to Moneydance on my PC and I was able to get up and running immediately.
